Cadillac is not particularly well renowned for sports cars and luxury coupes but that may all change with the release of the all new 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe. This is a midsize vehicle with angular lines and a bold stance which combines superior performance with good looks. The first thing that stood out to me was the car's angular shape and its aggressive square rear end. It's so much fun and a big thrill to drive this car; shifts are a breeze and the brakes are so powerful MaxiSys Pro. This vehicle will compete in the sports coupe segment, a market which is dominated by European cars such as the BMW 3-series coupe and the new Mercedes E-class coupe.
The CTS is equipped with a V6 3.6 Engine with 304 HP and 273 lb feet of torque. This should be more than sufficient power for the average driver. If you want even more power, then you might want to hold off for GM's release of the CTS V-series which will be equipped with a massive 556 horsepower. Gas mileage for the CTS is at 17 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the freeway.
Three different versions are available for this car; Base, CTS Performance Collection and CTS Coupe Premium Collection. This coupe comes standard with six speed automatic transmission, sweet looking eighteen inch alloy wheels autel maxidas ds808, heated outside mirrors, cruise control, a premium Bose audio system with a 6-disc cd changer, parking assist and power seats. The CTS Performance collection trim includes an upgraded audio system, Xenon lamps and seats appointed in fine leather. The Premium Collection trim includes a navigation system, wooden trim accents inside the cabin, a moon roof and a temperature controlled steering wheel.
The car features a really cool navigation screen in place which smartly slides down and out of sight when not in use. The front seats are quite plush while offering more than plenty of legroom and there are touches of chrome accents for a contemporary look. Cadillac engineers designed this vehicle with safety in mind and there are loads of safety measures in place such as; On Star Crisis Assist, an airbag system, 4-wheel ABS, 4-wheel disc brakes, a car theft deterrent system, daytime running lamps, a traction control system, an electronic stability program and a tire pressure monitoring system.
If you are looking for a sports coupe and want to buy American, the 2011 Cadillac CTS would be an ideal choice. This is one of the best looking cars available on the market today. The most appealing aspect of the CTS is its dramatic good looks and angular lines; this is a car that commands attention on the open road. There is no other sports coupe on the market that looks quite like it. This is a car for someone who wants to stand out and not blend in. If you dare to be different and audacious then the CTS might be the perfect automobile for you.
